What the ever living fuck are you doing down there, America?
I’m actually kind of horrified that I’m not all that surprised by this story.

Ha! Thanks for pointing out our lack of cuddles!

By insisting that any facility that performs 5 or more first trimester abortions a month be subject to the same structural requirements of hospitals.
17 clinics in one, fucking. day. 17 clinics. All part of the Targeted Regulation of…
Does Roe v Wade MEAN NOTHING??? Also, Republicans SAY they are all for less government intervention in our lives…however, they suspend those principles when it comes to abortion and gay rights. WTF?
17 clinics out of 21. Just unthinkable.

Love it!
The Minnesota GOP is moving forward with its “jobs, jobs, jobs” agenda it promised the voters of Minnesota, today proposing to ban all state funds to any group that either provides abortions or might refer someone to a place that provides abortions. […]
Indiana, too, is pushing a “defund Planned Parenthood” bill, although in their case they really are defunding the group in the state. A previous attempt at passing the bill stalled when Democrats had an unrelated walk-out at the capitol.
Once again, Republicans claim that there are lots of other places more than willing to provide reproductive health care for cheap that does not provide abortions, then refuses to name one.
FOLLOWERS IN/NEAR INDIANA:
The Indiana Senate is voting on defunding Planned Parenthood at 3 pm today. If you are anywhere near Indianapolis, please join the Planned Parenthood Advocates of Indiana at the Statehouse to protest this attack on reproductive health. You can contact the Indiana state senators by e-mail or call at (800) 382-9467. Let them know that you stand with Planned Parenthood and you oppose HB 1210, and especially the Schneider defunding amendment.
whoops this blog needs more cats.

The blog CPC Watch posts information on the deceptive tactics of pro-life Crisis Pregnancy Centers. Their testimonials page has many disturbing examples of…
Disturbing harrassment:
…Seven months later, I got a card in the mail. It said, “Congratulations on Your New Baby!” but it was splattered with red paint or ink. Every year after that, I’d get a Happy Birthday card made for children, except they’re all splattered with red paint. We couldn’t get them to stop legally because there was no proof the Crisis Center was sending them. I finally stopped receiving the cards when I moved out of the state and didn’t leave behind a forwarding address….
Misinformation:
…When I got there, a woman in a white lab coat told me there was a 48 hour waiting period on PlanB. This didn’t seem right to me but I was confused and disparate so I went along with it. I came back two days later and was told that it was too late to take PlanB. They said I might already be pregnant and PlanB could harm the baby….
This is disturbing because it’s actually an attempt at getting a woman pregnant. Plan B (the morning after pill) works as a stronger dose of the birth control pill and can be taken after having unprotected sex. The sooner it is taken, the more effective it is at preventing pregnancy.
Using the “fathers rights” argument about a rapist:
I reluctantly explained that I had not wanted to have sex but that it was forced upon me by the father of my eighth month old son (I completely broke down since this was the first time that I had said it aloud). I was afraid they would want me to report the rape and I was scared for my life at that point and not planning on going to the authorities. But they didn’t even mention it; of course, I was thankful at the time. When my test came back positive and I asked to schedule an abortion they asked me, “What about the father… doesn’t he have a say? This baby is his too.” I felt so sick. I couldn’t believe they would say that… the father? The father was a rapist.
This is something a lot of pro-lifers say that they believe is an exception to the idea that the father should have a say.
There are a lot more.
This is important shit.
This is despicable. They are lying to women and harassing them. Unbelievable.
Whoops want to rage-puke everywhere
28 women who were scheduled for abortion procedures in the District today were informed by a local clinic last night that, as of midnight, they would be unable to rely on D.C. Medicaid to pay for those procedures.
I know people are really happy that Obama didn’t back down to Boehner on the Planned Parenthood defunding (I am too - the “Nope” quote floating around really is great.), but the women of DC were fucked over in the deal.
here’s the link to donate to the DC abortion fund- they’re trying to help these women get the money gathered to cover the cost of the procedures.
let’s help out!

Sex Ed. Matters: No Birth Control, No Emergency Contraception, No ABORTION!!
except the real goal here is to just prevent you from having sex for something other than procreating.
